IP Addresses/Operating System/Browser Type

Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer’s “Internet Protocol” (IP) address. When you visit our website or click on one of our links, we may automatically record your IP address, operating system, and browser type and version. We use this information to generate aggregate usage statistics and to ensure that our site and emails are accessible to the widest possible audience. We may also use this information to investigate misuse of the ArtProjectA.com website, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. The domain name, IP address, operating system and browser type reveal nothing personal about you.

Credit Card Information

We use a shopping cart feature that safeguards your information by using industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypted servers. SSL encrypts the information transferred between you and the server, rendering it unreadable to anyone trying to intercept the information. Art Project A uses a third party payment gateway to process your credit card information. We have taken care to find a secure third party to process your information, however, we are not responsible for any breach of security or for any actions of any third parties that receive the information. We are not responsible for such third party privacy policies or how they treat information about their users.

Other than the Third Party Payment Gateway we will not share, rent or sell any of your credit card information.

Art Project A offers secure facilities on its website to place orders online. If at any time you would like to make a purchase, but do not want to provide your credit card information online, you may place an order without credit card information and a representative will contact you. Alternatively, you may always contact Art Project A directly by telephone at (+1) 208-726-9100.

Cookies, Web Beacons, and Server Logs

In addition to obtaining your personal information, when you use our site, we may collect tracking information such as your browser type, the type of operating system you use, the name of your Internet service provider, and pages visited on our site. We obtain this information by using technologies, including cookies, web beacons and server logs to increase the functionality and user-friendliness of our site and to better tailor our site, products, and services to our visitors’ needs. We also use this information to verify that visitors meet the criteria required to process their requests and for reporting website activity in the aggregate. For example, we may want to know how long the average user spends on our site or which pages or features get the most attention.

From time to time we may send a “cookie” to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your Internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. A cookie can’t read data on your computer hard disk or read cookie files created by other websites. Cookies do not damage your system. We use cookies to save your username and password if you register an account and decide to use the “Remember Me” option. This means you don’t have to re-enter these items each time you visit our site. We also use cookies to identify which areas of our website you have visited or customized, so the next time you visit, those pages may be readily accessible. We also use cookies to keep track of the items in your shopping cart and Wishlist/Gift Registry so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you visit.

You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings of your Internet browser. You can reset your browser to refuse all cookies, or allow your browser to show you when a cookie is being sent. If you choose not to accept these cookies, your experience at our website and others may be diminished and some features may not work as intended. Most major websites use cookies.

Web beacons are used in conjunction with cookies to record the simple actions of the user opening the page that contains the beacon. When a user’s browser requests information from a website in this way certain simple information can also be gathered, such as: the IP Address of your computer; time the material was viewed; the type of browser that retrieved the image; and the existence of cookies previously set by that server. This is information that is available to any web server you visit. Web beacons do not give any “extra” information away. They are simply a convenient way of gathering the simplest of statistics and managing cookies.
